back cover

and here is a picture of the spine that i like.

this is the side edge. sorry for the weird angle and the presence of my hand. this edge looked better before there was a bunch of stuff sticking out of the book. but it says “you gotta swim.” yeah. okay.

by the way, the clips aren’t part of the journal.

i just use them to keep the book closed so nothing falls out, or to keep it open when i’m taking pictures.

here’s a close-up of the bottom right-hand corner of the front cover. this is one of my favorite parts of the book - i also just really like this picture. a while ago, i tried to just poke a little hole in it with a pencil, but i accidentally made a pretty huge hole. whoops. so i decided to make it look cool with some ribbon and elastic cord. yep.

i actually did this sometime last week i think, so i’ll post it first.

this is the bottom edge of the book. in case you cannot read, it says “just keep your head above, swim.” i hope you get the reference. anyway, i thought it turned out quite good. it looks cool to me.

also please excuse my laundry being in the background…

by the way, for those of you who didn't know,

you can view a bigger version of any of the pictures by simply clicking them.
LOOK AT THIS WORKSPACE. LOOK AT IT.

this was my wrecking workspace tonight. i went around my house and gathered random crap to use in the journal, plus some basic supplies like scissors and tape, and some dr. pepper to use as my fuel. it was a good, productive night of journal-wrecking.

hi.

this is where i will be tracking my progress with my wreck this journal. i wish i had made this earlier, like when i first got the journal, but oh well. it’s never too late to start.
